Last Friday, someone from Orly dropped by my salon to do a demo of Orly Gel FX. I have been wanting to try gel nail polish for a while now but I was always turned off by the price. Lucky for me, I got to have my nails done for free during the demo.

She bought Lego Minifigures.

My boyfriend and I have a project and it involves collecting different Lego Minifigures, or Collectable Minifigures. Lego first released them around 2010. Lego comes out with 16 different figures to make up a set or a series, as they call it. The latest release is Series 8 and it came out sometime September. They are sold separately and if you're ready and willing, collect every single figure.

Rainy Day Non-Blues

After several days of crazy sunshine, it's pouring outside. I've always liked the rain and I'm not one to complain when it does (albeit, times when I am outside sans an umbrella). Everybody knows that the best way to deal with a rain day is to stay indoors. The rain just makes you feel very lazy and does not put you in the mood to go out and do something important or life-changing. Personally, I like to spend my rainy days on a comfy couch in front of the telly to catch up on the latest episodes of my favorite TV series or read a good book, with a cup of hot chocolate. Sounds like a good day to me, don't you think?

NOTD: OPI's My Address is Hollywood

Next to makeup, nail polish is a love of mine. Seeing my nails all pretty and painted makes me a happy girl. It's one of those simple pleasures that I like to indulge in. I usually buy nail polish when I'm out of the country because OPI is not readily available in Manila and if it is, the choices are limited.



I'm not one to follow the trends of what colors are hot, instead, I choose the colors based on my mood. In this case, I was in a really good mood. I had my nails done yesterday and although it was the last day of the long weekend, I did not let that dampen my mood.

This color is so cute. It's pink but not too pink. It has a slight shimmer and you can see the glitter if you look real close. Just like any OPI polish, you can really do without the top coat because it's already shiny as is. I just use top coat to make it last longer (though with my luck, it will stay chip-free for another day or two.)
